Wang Chongyu

I am Wang Chongyu, a senior student majored in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Zhejiang University - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI).

I am interested in the topic machine learning and natural language processing. I have done some research on them, and now I am doing a program related to natural language processing and knowledge graph.

I am looking for an NLP and ML Master/PhD position starting in 2022 fall.

Specular Reflections Detection and Removal Based on Deep Neural Network for Endoscope Images
Tianyu Liu, Junyu Chang, Chongyu Wang and Liangjing Yang*
IEEE EMBC, 2021
[Poster]

Aimed to detect and restore specular reflections caused by metal instruments or smooth tissue membrane during surgical operations based on Deep Neural Network.

Proposed a novel model based on deep learning framework, known as Surgical Fix Deep Neural Network (SFDNN).

Designed and modified a deep neural network model to detect the reflection points in a surgical video.

Used the time series scheme to repair the reflection part, restoring the real surgical scene.

Knowledge Extraction and Retrieval of Diesel Engine Operation Report in Nuclear Power Plant Based on Natural Language Processing
Chongyu Wang, Jingshu Li and Chenhao Wang, Supervised by Prof. Hongwei Wang

Proposed a novel statistics-based key-phrase extraction model, which performed well on Chinese document such as diesel-related event reports.

Working on an model to generate a knowledge map based on the existing diesel-related event reports, which could identify and extract entities in new event report, then establish the relationship and attribute features of different entities.

Plan to implement the entity and relation extraction based on event reports and build a search engine system for event reports based on extracted knowledge.

This program is ongoing now.
